I first bought just one pair at a store in vermont. I wanted to see if it was comfortable for my feet when I was skiing. Afterwards, I found it comfortable, warm, and the quality of the fabric is soft. And most importantly, there are no seams in the fabric that make my feet hurt while skiing. I think they pay attention to the little details of how the socks are designed to be thick or thin to suit each person's activity.
