Core Midweight Mesh Balaclava

I’m a ski patroller who struggled with frost bite when performing high output activities on cold and windy days since I always needed to pull down my face protection to breathe. This mesh balaclava has saved my skin. I tuck it up into my goggles so no skin is exposed at all and can adequately breathe through the mesh area even while hiking or difficult rig running. Goggle fogging is not an issue for me. On super cold or windy days, I’ll layer an additional neck gaiter, but this balaclava alone is enough for most cold days. Moisture buildup around the mouth occurs as would be expected, so I’m planning to buy a second one to swap throughout the day and alternate drying in the duty station. This balaclava is soft and very comfortable to wear all day. The only thing that would make it better for me is a ponytail slit in the back so that my braid isn’t all bunched at my neck.

I hold lebent headwear and socks in high regard. The clothing can take a lot of stretching and hasn't lost its elasticity for me.
Also, the gear doesn't smell. Just dry it well overnight and I'll use a balaclava for weeks without washing.
